Our Approach
Wildflowers & Peonies Daycare is a licensed childcare in Bend, Oregon, that emphasizes a play-based child-centered learning approach for children ages 6 weeks through preschool. We incorporate the five developmental domains of play with a curriculum based on teaching creativity through imaginative play, collaboration through group activities, and cultural awareness with our book of the month club. In addition, we offer gardening in the spring and summer months and simple baking activities to enhance their learning experience. We offer a warm supportive environment where all children feel safe and included. Which defines the whole child approach philosophy for comprehensive intentional early childhood development.
All About Me
Hi my name is Jennifer Murray, and I grew up in Sonoma County, in Northern California. I am the mother of three grown children and married to my wonderful husband for over 32 years. I spent several years volunteering in my children's classrooms and with their after school extracurricular activities like plays, sports, cheer and scouts. This experience lead me to want to continue working with children by starting my own childcare business and return to college to become a early childhood educator. In my free time I enjoy being in nature and camping with my husband. I also enjoy spending time with my family, baking, gardening, and painting as lifelong passions of mine.
